And just like that, another year has flown by. This past year, I have definitely let my blog fall by the wayside. In fact, WordPress tells me I had only written 13 posts in the entire year!
My life has changed a lot last year and I anticipate more (good) changes in the future so I’m going to commit myself to blogging more and sharing what I’ve learned thus far in my journey.
I’ll start it off with a few exciting things that happened last year…
I recently read this great article from Sue Pelletier (@spelletier) where she wrote about her 10 new year’s resolutions for events and meetings. She lists such great things that I’ve been inspired to create my own list of resolutions. So, without further ado, here are my 2012 new year’s events resolutions…
I can’t believe another year has already gone by. I say it all the time but it is absolutely crazy how fast time flies. I mean, this time last year, I was in the middle of a 4 day stay in a hospital in Bali getting treated for dengue fever. And this year, I’m back in Vancouver with a new job in an industry I really care about.

So remember when I talked about how powerful informational interviews were and how I think every job hunter should use them? Well, as of tomorrow, I will be gainfully employed – all thanks to an informational interview I had a couple of weeks ago.
After some feedback I got, I just want to make it clear that I am simply recounting my own experiences and thoughts so far. I’m not here to slander or make fun of a company/person. I just want to share with you my journey and all the bumps along the way.
